RCHS Alumni Events

When: September/October

Who: College students and recent grads

Recent RCHS grads are invited to campus to meet with our seniors. Alumni speak on a panel to talk about the college search, application, and selection process, as well as the transition from high school to college life.

When: March

Who: Alumni who graduated from RCHS 5+ years ago

Alumni are invited to serve on a panel where they take questions from students about their educational and career paths. Students of all grades are encouraged to attend.

When: October & April

Who: Alumni of all graduating years

Each semester alumni of all ages are invited for a gathering at a local venue to network and socialize. This is an opportunity to hear from other alumni who serve on the RCHS Board and committees speak to alumni about supporting the school as volunteers and donors. 

When: May

Who: Alumni who work in the topic field

Phoenix Fest is a fun day at the end of the school year where  juniors and seniors do creative presentations for their peers and underclassmen in five categories: Academics, Culture, FEST: Fun & Entertaining  Skillz & Talentz, Community, and Experience. Alumni participate by serving on virtual panels focused on career topics. Past panels have been centered on “Alumni in Healthcare” and an “Alumni Working Abroad” session.

When: December, typically the Friday before Winter Break
Who: Alumni of all graduating years

Our longest running Forever Phoenix event! Alumni of all ages are invited to campus to chat with teachers, catch up with their classmates, and enjoy delicious winter treats.

When: May

Who: Current college students and recent grads

Recent RCHS grads are invited to campus to speak to seniors who are planning to attend the college that they currently attend. Conversations are centered on everything from the transition from high school to college to tips for living with roommates to how to pick a major. We typically have groups for NC State, UNC, Duke, and a group of out-of-state colleges.
